Personal Areas of Interest: In his leisure time Albert enjoys browsing the medical web, watching the international news on CNN and exercising at the gym on the bike and with free weights.
Albert studied medicine in China for six years, followed by three years of specialist study, and a further three years of graduate study to obtain his M.D. and MSc degrees. He worked as a general surgeon at Shanghai Medical University teaching hospital before specializing in rehabilitation.
Albert also trained in Acupuncture and Tui Na (a therapeutic form of massage) at the Long Hua teaching hospital in Shanghai’s University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He then furthered his training at the Shanghai Continuing Education University.
Following his arrival in Canada in 1991, Albert studied at the Sutherland-Chan Massage School to obtain his RMT licence. In 2013, he also became licensed to practice acupuncture in Canada. Albert has had particularly good results with acupuncture and Tui Na for conditions such as Migraine, Tension Headache, Stress, Anxiety, Frozen Shoulder, Sciatic Syndrome, Ear Ringing, Knee Arthritis, Neck and Shoulder Pain and Lower Back Pain.
